For Vodafone Smart X9, when you type Freedom Mobile APN settings, make sure you enter APN settings in correct case. For example, if you are entering Freedom Mobile Internet APN settings make sure you enter APN as internet.freedommobile.ca and not as INTERNET.FREEDOMMOBILE.CA or Internet.freedommobile.ca. If entering Freedom Mobile MMS APN settings above to your Vodafone Smart X9, APN should be entered as mms.freedommobile.ca and not as MMS.FREEDOMMOBILE.CA or Mms.freedommobile.ca.
